PASTOR'S LETTER: OCTOBER 19-20, 2019

Dear Friends,

Jesus is at work in and around OLMC, and he is busy – working through YOU! Our parish is flourishing: New efforts to reach out to our neighbors in need and care for the elderly, sick, infirmed, and bereaved – aka bringing God’s love to life! – are considered and implemented at an amazing pace around here.

Ministering to one another, bringing God’s love to life for each other, is at the heart of what makes us a Christian community. Our connections to one another are strengthened – and we are emboldened, when we spend time together outside of Mass. A shared laugh over a cup of coffee at our new post-11:15am Sunday Mass reception, or commonalities discovered with a new acquaintance met at our Friday Morning gatherings (soon to be started) in Gordon Hall, all help to strengthen our sense of belonging to this parish and our shared mission.

Next weekend is our Ministry Fair, and we’re hoping to solicit your support for the various ministries around the parish. I encourage you to get involved. Our ministries serve as a vehicle through which parishioners help sustain the life and mission of the Church. They are some of the ways that love comes to life in and through Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

Please be sure to stop by and check it out. Want to help and don’t know where? Come to the Ministry Fair where your questions can be answered and you can better discern the Lord’s call.

And, please be sure to let me know if ever you or anyone you know are in need. We are here to serve!

In the Peace of Christ,
Father Daniel
