PASTOR'S NOTE: Apr 2, 2023

Dear Saints,

I’m starting to hear from people how fruitful this Lent has been for them. It’s exciting to think that our Lenten practices of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving have served to direct our attention and energy to making God the very center of our hearts and lives.

One of the ways we know that we are worshipping God - that we are making him and his way our life’s priority - is that we are becoming more loving, more generous people. We’re certainly witnessing that in our shared almsgiving project (give now if you haven’t already!), and I’m sure you have your own stories of how you rose to meet the demands of Love in ordinary and extraordinary ways.

As we wrap up this period of preparation for Jesus’ resurrection, there’s a lot to look forward to in our celebration of the Church’s holiest days. The Triduum services this week – Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and the Easter Vigil – are really one extended liturgy, but you can feel free to stop in whenever you would like.

You won’t regret making time for these beautiful celebrations of Jesus’ passion, death, and resurrection:

Mass of the Lord’s Supper: Thursday, 7:00pm

Celebration of the Lord’s Passion: Friday, 3:00pm

Easter Vigil (a two-plus hour Mass): Saturday, 8:00pm

I love you, my friends, and I look forward to seeing you soon!

In the Peace of Christ,

Father Daniel
