PASTOR'S NOTE: Oct 8, 2023

 Dear Saints,

We all struggle with worry to one extent or another. Anxiety finds sustenance in insecurity, which in turn feeds off of distrust, the original sin with which we’re all marked.

Anxiety likes to live rent-free in our minds and hearts, and it’s a terrible tenant: dishonest, disheveled, and utterly disinterested in our good. In fact, it’s so powerful that many of us need expert help loosening its grip on our lives.

In concert with any therapeutic remedies we might need, Saint Paul gives us another practical way to evict anxiety. By replacing it with thoughts of truth, honor, justice, purity, loveliness, and graciousness, we begin to secure the perimeter of our hearts and minds with the peace of God himself.

In the Peace of Christ,

Father Daniel
