Triduum in Exile
an invitation to prayer

Dear Saints,

Just a few announcements:

  1. Be sure to check out our Mission Hub for updates as we go. It really is a one-stop shop for us these days.

  2. Bishop Serratelli has invited us to place electric candles or lights outside of our homes or in our windows when the sun goes down Saturday night. This sign of faith honors Jesus whose resurrection is the dawning of God's new creation, which scatters the world's darkness.

  3. Photos and videos of our Branch Sunday celebration are now online. This was certainly one to remember!

And now, the Triddum:

These next few days are the holiest in the Church's calendar. Our observance of them need not wane, my friends, even in exile!

A great resource I want to put in your hands before Thursday evening is A Journey through Holy Week for Families. This beautiful booklet will help you to keep holy these sacred days. If you want to share pictures of your at-home Triduum celebrations, then please do.

Of course, you are welcome to join me in spirit - and online - in prayer. Our liturgical schedule, which doubles as our broadcast schedule, is below. I think the easiest way to watch is by going to our mission hub, but you may already have a viewing preference.

Holy Thursday - April 9

  • Morning Prayer, 8:00am

  • Mass of the Lord's Supper, 7:30pm

Good Friday - April 10

  • Morning Prayer, 8:00am

  • The Celebration of the Lord's Passion, 3:00pm

  • Stations of the Cross, 6:00pm

Holy Saturday - April 11

  • Morning Prayer, 8:00am

  • Easter Vigil, 8:00pm

Easter Sunday - April 12

  • Mass: 8:00am

That's it from me, my friends. I love you a lot. Like, a 14-hour car ride lot. I look forward to joining with you in prayer these next few days.

In the Sacred Heart of Jesus,
Father Daniel
